Main parts of the machine
The bed is a basic component of the machine, and its rigidity directly affects working performance and accuracy of the whole machine. The bed are made by the press of resin sand mould and the materials of high quality iron casting and this has excellent exterior and strength. The bed also has features of strong rigidity, anti-shock ability and anti-section deformity ability because of the construct of Π-typed ribs and the process of 450side and rear chip removal. Width of guide-ways is 600 mm, this dimension is very bigger, and it has a better anti-subversive capacity when cutting large-sized swiveling work-pieces. The bed has V-typed and flat guide-ways for longitudinal traverse of the apron and tailstock.
2. Spindle box
The spindle box is a construction of whole box. The movement of main motor will be transmitted into the spindle box through V-belt. The change of moveable gear is adjusted by control handle, the range of spindle speed is 5 to 315 r/min. The transmits of main drive has two advanced roads, which is separated for high speed and low speed, so wide range of spindle variable-speed is realized economically and effectively. This driving system has characters of big torque output, small loss of power and wide range of variable-speed. Left and right thread changing mechanism and pitch enlarging mechanism are mounted in shafts and on the spindle box, in order to realize turning left and right thread, as well as pitch enlarging, hydraulic braking is equipped in shaft of the spindle box; double directions oil tank is also equipped in the spindle box, forward or reverse rotation of the spindle all can be reached without stopping the machine when turning thread, it also can be got when the chip is not very much. Generally, this spindle box has perfect features of full functions and good performance.
The spindle nose is short taper with flange, and two points supporting construction is adopted in Headstock, and high precision special bearing of the spindle is selected and front and rear bearings are cone roller bearings, so the entire spindle has optimum rigidity and supporting capacity.
A hang-shaped button station is equipped in front side of the spindle box, and there are push buttons and knobs which may control forward or reverse rotation of the spindle, forward or reverse jogging, stop on the panel, and there are also current meter, indicating lamp, emergency stop button which have been installed on the control panel, easy for adjusting.
The tailstock is consisted of up and lower bodies. The sleeve, spindle, manual and rapid traverse mechanism for sleeve, and adjusting spindle center line mechanism of the tailstock are wholly installed in the up body, the stopping mechanism is installed in the lower body. The tailstock can do longitudinal traverse along the guide-way of the bed, and it can support all kinds of work-pieces, and mechanical locking fastness will be realized, it is safer and more reliable.
4. Saddle and tool post
Main functions of this part by the frame of reference of the spindle finish various kind of feed. To prevent the feed of saddle from climbing longitudinally, a pair of guide-ways of the saddle has stuck with plastic guiding plates of high performance, the problem for cross and longitudinal combinational traverse has thoroughly been solved in the construction of longitudinal and cross branch, reliability of the machine is raised greatly. In additional, the up tool post can cut different taper within the effective travel.
5. Taper turning device
This device is installed at the end of the saddle, it can drive the saddle and tool post to turn taper ≤20°, length of the taper ≤300 mm, so it can turn pipe threads conveniently and reliably. Also this device with the length 800mm can be equipped with.
6. Feeding device (Out board support)
In order to clamp the pipe conveniently, the feeding device is installed in the saddle, and a handle is set on it. When moving the handle with hand, this pipe can go from chuck to rear chuck through the spindle hole automatically, easy for clamping the pipe, at mean time, the pipe which has been machined may be unloaded from the front or rear chuck, the device can be selected more according to the length of this pipe. This device has function as roller supporting, it can support long pipe.
Main function of the apron is to change turning movement of lead screw and plain rod into linear movement of the tool post. This part is mainly designed with direction changing mechanism, rapid traverse mechanism, general feeding, self locking mechanism for turning threads, lubricating mechanism, etc..
Longitudinal and cross feed traverse as well as rapid traverse of turning tool can be got by controlling cross handle rod on right side of the apron; to reach the distribution of feeding and rapid traverse, an overrunning clutch is equipped in the apron. To avoid turning threads in engine lathe doesn't conflict with feeding, this two functions have been designed with NOT gate, that is only one line may be selected; cam-typed piston pump is specially designed in this component, to meet the requirement of power lubricating for longitudinal and cross guide-ways; so, combining movement of apron and saddle and tool post can turn any taper.
8. Feed box
The feed box is used to two shafts moveable construction, chief function is to realize the changes of many kinds of feed and pitch. This part mainly has basic group, traverse changing mechanism and multiple mechanism. Function of the basic group is to realize the adjustment of feed and pitch; function of traverse changing is to finish exchange Metric and Whitworth threads; function of multiple mechanisms is to increase range of feed and pitch.
The gear change is a link for connecting spindle and feed, a bakelite wheel lies in this mechanism, it can take an effect of safe protection when the thread is turned overloaded, in the same time, a special factor π is designed in it, special pitch may be caused by choosing a proper gear change.
10. Coolant system
A special coolant tank is equipped under the horizon of the foundation, after the coolant coming out from coolant pump, it will spray to effective cutting surface through the water input tube to improve the cutting condition. The coolant liquid may return to the coolant tank by the chip removal groove at bottom of the bed, it cannot cause the pollution of the environment.
11. Hydraulic system
This system is used to do lubrication for forward or reverse rotation of the spindle, braking, spindle box, as well as the feed box.
12. Lubrication system
Lubrication system of this system adopts external-circulated forced lubrication, oil mist lubrication and oil-input lubrication(including input grease). In order to improve service life of machine and insure normal operation of machine, operator must regularly input oil and change oil according to following drawing.
13. Electric system
The electric system is mainly used to controlling strong and weak voltages, and let electricity and machine be integrated to the machine, easy for controlling and operating. All the electric components have selected from which have passed through CE attestation of safety system in Europe.
